this is halloween.

 in the spirit of halloween and all things spooky & ghoulish, i thought it was quite appropriate that i take a stroll through trinity church's cemetery this morning. the grounds are always so festive during this holiday and it got me in the halloween mood! now i'm off to finish piecing together tonight's costumes!

• baby kicks all. the. time! and sometimes they are really violent and do not feel the nicest. i think she's devising a way to break out of there.

• pizza. pizza. pizza. i crave it constantly and could have it for every meal!

• my belly button is quickly turning from an innie to an outie. and i thought i would be the exception...

• i just ordered baby's crib! i'm excited to get her nursery corner in order!

• if you can't tell by the constant baby posts, i am so so happy/excited! todd and i talk about life with our baby girl all the time. hurry up, girlfriend!

pumpkin, spice and everything nice.

saturday night, the temperature dropped enough that we finally felt appropriate getting into the fall spirit of things. we picked up a little big pumpkin at the market and brought it home to carve. after soon realizing we didn't have any carving tools—oops! minor detail—we opted for baking delicious pumpkin cookies and stewing some apple cider on the stove top. my home smelled like heaven in the fall {because that's what heaven will smell like... in the fall... obviously} it was such a fun night baking with the hubs and rocking out to some good tunes. i love these types of memories.

i had my first encounter with a man touching my belly. 

not okay.

i had another first encounter with a man giving me his seat on the subway.

definitely okay.

it's been 4 weeks, and the protestors still haven't given up. almost daily there's some sort of parade 

down our street with people banging their drums, hollering, and just being obnoxious. 

not only are they loud, but it's really starting to stink down here!

when i told my dad about this, he came up with—

10 ways to get rid of the hippies from wall street:

{10} tell them trader joe's just opened in brooklyn 

{9} break out the disco music 

{8} fantastic sams 

{7} institute a no shoes, no shirts, no protest policy 

{6} legalize marijuana in new jersey 

{5} call in the missionaries to roam about and make small talk 

{4} set out soap dispensers 

{3} recruit newt to give a pep rally 

{2} tell them to go home or their parents are going to stop their allowance. 

and the {#1} way to get rid of the irritating hippies from wall street

...offer them a job!

chamber magic.

on saturday, we had the funnest date watching steve cohen's chamber magic at the waldorf-astoria. the setting was super intimate as there were about 50 people seated in his personal suite at the hotel. he put on quite a show, and i could not believe have the tricks he performed! hubs and i came out of the show wanting to google every trick to see how in the world he did it!! unfortuantely we came up empty handed. i guess i'll have to accept that it's magic and i'll never know! it's more fun that way anyways, right?

 i could not be more thankful for this weekend—

a.  loving that it's general conference weekend. i couldn't be more ready to hear the uplifting words and counsel from our prophet and leaders! click {here} if you want to listen in.

b. with a slight chill in the air, you know the leather and furs are making an appearance!

c. we'll be celebrating hub's birthday!! big 2-8. love him!

d. baking everything with a pinch of pumpkin spice.
