let your hair down.

sometimes it gets lonely here in the city.
it's dark. cold.
and far away from family.

that's when i listen to this song...

...and remember to just live!
{and it doesn't hurt to know i'm going to UT in 3 weeks!!!}

dreaming big at the boat show.

 My adorable Hubs usually just goes along with my Saturday ritual of brunch and shopping, but
yesterday he had an agenda of his own.

My mom once told me the first best day of your life is when you buy a boat and
the second best day is when you sell it.

Todd disagrees.

He loves wake-boarding and he loves his boats, so he was in pure bliss as we explored the newest
MasterCraft and Malibu models at the NYC Boat Show.

There were hundreds of boats to explore!
{my personal favorite being the 2B/2B yachts}

Once back home, Todd hit the computer researching different lakes we could live on someday.

How it's fun to dream!

it's January and we've only had one lousy snow day.

i want to make snow angels and drink Abuelita
and wear my wellies...

nbc studios tour.

*the roots drumset at fallon*
*playing backstage of snl*

During my family's visit, we were able to get tickets
for a private tour of the nbc studios.
We even had our own "Kenneth" guiding us along.

We were taken behind-the-scenes to the sets of
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, and MSNBC.

Unfortunately Liz Lemon or Tracy Jordan were nowhere to be seen.

new years in time square.

Being the crazy family we are, we decided to ring in the New Year the best way possible...
 in Times Square.

Earlier that afternoon we scoped out the area, but after seeing the hoards of people already
lining up we agreed it'd be crazy to stay.

But at about 11:30 PM, we changed our minds and rushed up to Time Square.
With 5 minutes to spare, we hopped off the subway and found a great spot with the ball in view!

I'm definitely happy we did it, but honestly I think I'm more happy to be able to
cross it off my list and never do it again.

Happy 2010!
